But you’re also getting a highly subjective piece of art. That means that no matter how much love, care, and years of experience have gone into the creation of a poem, its beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This diversity of views and interpretations is what makes art, and especially haiku, the inspiring, horizon-widening, and beautiful experience that it is.
